Harry's Hay Days
Grandview's signature festival celebrates the town's most famous farmer — President Harry Truman.
Held each May, Harry's Hay Days is a free, weekend-long celebration that takes over Main Street with a community parade, food trucks, vendors, live music, and family fun. It's the weekend the whole town turns out — a good excuse to line up a fresh cut at The Stache first — and a fitting nod to the man who farmed here before he ran the country. Grandview Farmers' Market
Through the warm months, the Grandview Farmers' Market sets up on Main Street with fresh produce and goods from small, local growers and makers. It typically runs twice a week — a Wednesday afternoon market and a Saturday morning one — and it's as much a neighborhood hangout as a grocery run. Movies on the sand at Longview Lake
On summer evenings, Jackson County Parks + Rec runs its Sand Cinema series at Longview Lake Beach — family movies projected on a giant inflatable screen right on the sand, starting after dark. Longview Lake sits on Grandview's doorstep, so it's an easy, low-cost night out: pack a blanket, claim a spot on the beach, and catch a film under the stars. Concerts, an egg hunt, and a holiday market
The Grandview Amphitheater in Meadowmere Park hosts local concerts and community events through the summer. Earlier in the year, the city's spring Easter egg hunt draws families to Meadowmere Park, and come November a holiday market brings crafters and boutiques together for handmade gifts.
