What this site is
GrandviewGuide.com is a local guide to Grandview, Missouri — things to do, places to eat, nearby towns, and practical advice for hiring local pros. It's built and maintained by Good News Merchant LLC. It is not affiliated with the City of Grandview.
How featured placements work
Some local businesses and professionals pay for featured placement on this site. When they do, you'll always see it marked — a gold badge and a disclosure like the one at the bottom of every featured page. There are three kinds:
- Featured Partner An overall sponsor of GrandviewGuide.com — supporting the whole site, not just one category.
- Featured Business A company featured in its category, like The Stache barbershop.
- Featured Professional An individual service provider, like barber Marianne Perez or financial representative Willie Norman.
Whichever the label, the meaning is the same: the placement is paid, it's clearly marked, and the page presents that business or professional the way we'd recommend them to a neighbor.
What we don't do: we don't run fake "independent reviews," we don't rank businesses that pay us against businesses that don't and call it neutral, and we don't publish made-up testimonials. Our buyer's guides (like how to choose an HVAC company) give the same advice whether or not a sponsor appears on the page.
The rules we hold ourselves to
Every paid placement is labeled. Facts about featured businesses — hours, addresses, services — come from the businesses themselves or public listings, and we correct errors when they're pointed out. Review quotes, when used, come from real customers on public platforms. Where our guides cover money-adjacent topics like insurance or investing, we explain how to vet a professional; we never give financial advice.
