If Belton is about the past, Raymore is about the next ten years. Southeast of Grandview, it's one of the fastest-growing family suburbs on this side of the metro — and it has quietly built one of the better parks systems to match.
Newer, quieter, family-first
Raymore's whole pitch is space and calm within reach of the city. Subdivisions and retail keep going up, schools and young families keep moving in, and the vibe stays firmly residential — this is a place people choose to raise kids and settle down, not to find nightlife. Downtown Kansas City is roughly a 20-to-30-minute drive, which is the sweet spot a lot of buyers are chasing: suburban quiet, metro paycheck.

For a town its size, Raymore's parks system is the standout — more than 350 acres of parkland stitched together by over twenty miles of trails.
Recreation Park
The largest and busiest of the bunch — around 80 acres on the south side with a skate park, a baseball complex, and playgrounds.
Hawk Ridge Park
Around 79 acres of rolling hills with a fishing lake — the go-to for a longer walk or a quiet cast.
Memorial Park
Dedicated in 1968 and the city's oldest public park, a shaded 20-plus acres for the classic picnic-and-playground afternoon.
Fifteen minutes, and worth it
Raymore has the essentials, but for a few things locals still point the car toward Grandview — it's only about fifteen minutes up the road. A proper barber is one of them: more than a few Raymore guys make the short drive for a fade at The Stache, the kind of unhurried, detail-first cut that's harder to find in a brand-new strip mall.
